Baby Clothes | My favorite things

Hello there! My stash of baby cards is not existing - so I really have to make some although there aren't many new products out there for creating sweet baby cards (in my opinion).

For baby card I prefer making two at once - one for a girl and one for a boy.
For the backgrounds I went with orange and blue distress inks and I also adhered 3 layers of the largest of the 'stitched square scalloped frames' die set from my favore things.

Then I diecut a bunch of pieces form the 'bundle of baby clothes' MFT dienamics. I colored them in with Distress Oxide inks because they blend so smoothly on normal cardstock.

I also stamped some of the swans from 'splendid swans' from My favorite things with Memento tuxedo black and colored them in with Copic markers.

For all of the images I used foam dots to adhere them to the background (which is 4"x4"). This results in a nice 3D look and mathces the stacked frame.

I hope you like the inspiration and I wish you a wonderful day!

Happy Graduation | MFT, ME, LF

Hello everyone! I wanted to share the latest graduation card I made with you. I chose some products from different companies to get the look I was going for.

First I stamped some images from 'down to business' (My favorite things - retired) and also the graduation hat from 'hats off to you' (Lawn Fawn) to a watercolor paper. Then I colored the images in with Windsor & Newton watercolors.

After letting it try I diecut the 'square peek-a-boo window' (My favorite things) and adhered it to a white cardbase. I also stamped the little mouse, the hat and certificate from 'page huggers' (Mama Elephant) and colored them in with the same colors.

After diecutting the images I adhered them onto the cardbase. Last but not least I added the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Howdy, Friend | My favorite things

Hello everyone! I am back with a new Disney Squad :-) I used several MFT products to create this Western scenery and I am really happy with the result.

I started with the background using Distress inks and MFT stencils. The 'grassy edges', 'cloud' and 'drifts and hills' stencils helped me to create a nice landscape. I also diecut some pieces from the 'jungle friends' (unfortunately not available any more) and 'icebergs' die sets to add more interest to the background.

Then I stamped several images from 'saddle up and celebrate', 'best in the west' and 'delightful dinsaurs' with Memento tuxedo black and colored them in with Copic markers. I tried to color them like the real movie figures from the Toy Story film series (Woody, Rex and Bullseye).

I stamped, colored and diecut the images twice so that I can make another Toy Story squad card soon  (spoiler alert ;-)).

After diecutting them I adhered everything to the background and added the sentiment from the saddled up and celebrate set.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Birthday Flowers | Avery Elle

Hello everyone! Finally I could make a card with the beautiful 'hand drawn florals' from Avery Elle.

I stamped the images with Archival jet black ink and used masking paper to layer the flowers. Then I colored them in with Windsor and Newton watercolors. I stayed in a hotel when I colored them - for traveling I prefer my Windsor and Newton palette because it is handier.

Then I covered the flowers again and blended some weathered wood distress ink. In the centre I stamped the sentiment included in the set.
Then I diecut the  piece with the larger die from the set 'postage stamp' and adhered the frame to a cardbase. I added orange fun foam to the centre and adhered the diecut piece onto the foam. This resulted in a nice dimension.

Last but not least I added some Nuvo drops in gold coast.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!
