Ahoy, happy birthday | Lawn Fawn

Hi there! I created my very first shadow box card and it's so much easier and faster than I thought!

This time I started by stamping all the images with Memento tuxedo black ink and colored them in again with Copic markers. I used the stamp sets 'mermaid for you', 'ahoy, matey' and 'duh-nuh'.

I set them beside and diecut some elements from the sets 'shadow box card', 'shadow box card ocean add-on'. The basic was cut out from Lawn Fawn mermaid cardstock. On the other pieces I used oxide inks to blend some colors.

I also cut out a piece of rectangle for the back of the card.

After adhering everything together (I used the Lawn Fawn glue tube today) the card was already finished :)

I wish you a nice weekend and thank you for stopping by!

Waving hello | Lawn Fawn

Waving hello to you all! I was in the mood for another ocean-themed card (and there will definitely come ;-) ) This time I went with the Lawn Fawn stamp sets 'mermaid for you' and 'you are sublime'.

I created a ink blended backround using faded jeans, mermaid lagoon and tumbled glass distress ink. I also added some water and color droplets and soft white "bubbles" with Lawn Fawn yeti ink.
Then I cut two strips from the blended background and adhered them to a pearl white card base.

I stamped the cute images with Memento tuxedo black and colored them in with Copics. After diecutting all of them I adhered them to the background.

The sentiment and some of the bubbles are stamped directly onto the pearl cardbase (using Lawn Fawn dye ink). Last but not least I added some pearls.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Toucan Do it | MFT

Hi there! I am back with another card using new MFT products.

I colored in three of the adorable parrots from the set 'Toucan Do it' with Copic colors.

Then I created the background using the awesome wonky banners dies. I think they perfect for simple backgrounds and are available at a great price point!
I used wild honey and spiced marmalade distress inks for the first background layer. I also used one of the stitched rectangle stax dies for both of the background pieces. I decided to go with shaded lilac and wilted violet distress inks for the second layer.

On both of the diecut pieces I sprinkled some water and color droplets. After adhering the parrots onto the card I addded some wobbly eyes and also the sentiment.

A very quick but I think very happy card!

Thank you for stopping by and have a colorful day!

Rock On | Mama Elephant

Hi everyone! The last two weeks are really tough for me - so many deadlines and only short times at home. However, I try to keep pace with the dailymarker30challenge and color every day.

I colored in some the cute images from 'Rock and Paws' and 'Animal Parade' with Copic markers. Then I decided on which background to use. I really like the hillside cover die but it's a portrait layout and I needed a landscape one.

So I created my own "hillside" cover with dies from 'dotted details'. I used distress inks (twisted citron, mustard seed, squeezed lemonade) to blend some colors and sprinkled some water/color droplets.

I adhered all the sweet band members to the scene and chose a craft cardbase to finish the card.

I hope you have a wonderful week and thank you for stopping by!
