Welcome Baby | Lawn Fawn

Hello everyone! We enjoy a beautiful spring-like weather this weekend in Austria. It really brightens up the mood and I love being outside or preparing the balcony. However, since working days are always busy I tried to get this blog post done today :)

I am sharing a baby card (you can never have to much on stash of those) using Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. The 'magic picture changer' die is so much fun and really addictive. So I used it again on this project. I love when the interactive part is integrated in the scene - a bit more effort but I think it's totally worth!

I started with stamping all the images I would need with Versafine onyx black ink and colored them in with Zig clean color real brush markers. For the scene in the magic picture changer I sketched the frame and put in the images on the exact same place - so that everything will fit together.

Then I prepared the background pieces with the 'simple stitched hillside borders' and distress inks. I chose tea dye for the ground, scattered straw for the sky and peeled paint for the little grassy hill. I also used the die to create a mask so that the scenes in the magic picture changer continue.

The main images are from the new stamp set 'Rawrsome' but I also used the older 'critters down under', 'critters in the jungle' and 'ahoy, matey' for additional details.

For the slider piece I used the same distress inks and after I had assembled the magic picture changer I added the frame from the 'magic picture changer add-on' and again continued the scene on this piece too.

The sentiment I used is from the critters down under set. I used foam tape to adhere the magic picutre changer to the background so that the movement is much easier. Last but not least I adhered all the other sweet images and the card was all done :)

In the photostory below you can see all the different process steps:

Hello baby | Mama Elephant

Hello everyone! I share my last blog post for 2018 with you today! Yeah - only a few hours until 2019! I wish you all the best for the new year!

Due to my very empty stash of baby cards I decided to make two at once. For a girl and a boy. Since these two cards are exactly the same (except for the colors and images) I only describe the girly one. In the photostory at my Instagram account you will see both processes.

I started by diecutting the 'circular grid' and largest one of the 'basic rectangles' dies from white cardstock. I used the basic rectangles for a base - so that it has the exact same size as the circular grid diecut and I could layer them.

Then I drew fine pencil lines on the diecut background cardstock and chose different distress oxide ink colors in pink. I blended the colors with a faded effect. Then I adhered the circular grid diecut on top of the background.

The sweet bunnies from 'little bunny agenda' are stamped with Memento tuxedo black and colored in with Copic markers. I diecut all of them and adhered them onto the circular grid.

I added the tiny sentiment from 'mini messages' in the middle and last but not least I used the Nuvo jewel drops in rosewater for more details.

For the male version I went with a green color scheme and the 'little monkey agenda' stamps.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great start into 2019!

Baby Sea Card | My favorite things

Hello everyone! A friend of mine delivered her second baby and it's absolutely adorable. That's why I created a new baby card using My favorite things products.

First I wanted to make a background using greens and yellows - however, I didn't like it for this card. So I took another piece of white cardstock diecut it with the second largest of the 'stitched rectangle stax' and used tumbled glass distress oxide ink to add a soft blue to it.

I also diecut several pieces of the 'bundle of baby clothes' die set and used hickory smoke for the clothes. After adhering them to the background I decided to use images from 'gill friends' and 'beach buds' which I colored with Copic markers. I really don't know what fish have to do with a newborn but I thought it looked cute :)

I also added Nuvo crystal drops in morning dew and Nuvo jewel drops in sea breeze. Last but not least I stamped the congratulations from the 'splendid swans' set and chose a white cardbase.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!
