Sorry for my reaction |MFT Stamps

Hello everyone! The 'cute chemists' set from MFT stamps is so adorable, I love the different sentiments included in the set. Since I am not so used to coloring with colored pencils I challenged myself to use Prismacolors on today's card.

First I created the fun background by sprinkling some Nuvo shimmer powders on watercolor cardstock and adding water to it. I love to let it air dry because I think it looks more natural this way. Isn't it awesome how the powder reacts with the water? Perfect for this card :-)

I used the second largest of the 'single stitch line tag-corner rectangle frames' to diecut the paper. I also diecut 4 white frames with the die which I stacked together.

With two stamps included in the cute chemists set I created the background on a white cardbasis. I used a grey ink for it and colored in some of the hearts with Prismacolor colored pencils.

I stamped the sweet chemist and colored it with the same medium. After diecutting him I could assemble the card. I adhered all the pieces onto the white cardbase and added the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock which I adhered with foam tape.

To wrap things up I created another short photo story you can watch here:

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Christmas Card #21 | My favorite things

Hi there! I wanted to show you another llama card with again very untypical colors for Christmas. The color combination is a result of some distress oxide ink experimenting :)

I squeezed some of the distress oxide ink colors scattered straw, tattered rose und candied apple onto the Tim Holtz Glass Mat and added some water to prepare it for the ink smooshing.

Then I took a sheet of Distress watercolor cardstock and pressed it into the color. I dried and repeated the steps several times until I was happy with the result.

To finish up the background I diecut some 'birch trees' from white cardstock and created a snowy hill with the 'stitched scalloped basic edges'. The snowy hill and background were also diecut with the 'stitched rectangle stax'.

I diecut some leafs from gold and white glitter cardstock to add more details.

After the background was done I went on with Copic coloring. I used images from 'Happy Llamadays', 'Merry Everything' and 'Saddle Up and Celebrate'. I love bringing images to live by using them for different occasions.

I adhered everything to the background and added some details with Nuvo Glitter Accents. The sentiment from happy llamadys was heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

And here you can find a short photo-story

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you like the card and got inspired by the color combination!

Birthday Beach Scene | My favorite things

Hello everyone! I needed a sea/beach themed card for a 60th birthday. So I had a short break from winter/fall cards.

I used Mijello mission gold watercolors to create the illusion of the ocean. Then I diecut it with the second largest of the 'stitched rectangle stax' from My favorite things. I diecut a second piece from watercolor paper and added antique linen and tea dye distress ink on top of it. I also added the sentiment from 'birthday chicks' with white embossing powder and Versamark. From the ocean background I diecut the wave die included in the 'beach buds' coordinating dies.

Then I stamped images from beach buds, 'splendid swans', 'rain or shine' and birthday chicks with Memento tuxedo black ink and colored them in with Copics. With a white gel pen I added some details.

After diecutting the pieces I also used the 'Birdie Brown Alphabet and Numbers' to diecut the number 60 from white cardstock. I used a metallic pen to add color.

I adhered everything to the beach background and added some fun googly eyes to the fish in the centre. After adhering it to a white cardbase the card was all done!!

Thank you for stopping by and have a splashy day!
