Christmas Card #18 | Lawnscaping Challenge

Hello everyone! When I saw the theme of the 141th Lawnscaping challenge I knew I had to join because I love to 'keep it clean and simple'!!!

I used the stamp set 'critters in the snow' from Lawn Fawn to create the sweet images in the centre of the card. I colored them in with Copic markers and added some ice with the brilliant Nuvo accents. For the sentiment I chose the stamp set 'cozy christmas' by Mama Elephant.

I diecut a oval shape from another piece of white cardstock and some snowflakes using the 'mini snowflakes' from Lawn Fawn out of white cardstock and glitter paper. Then I adhered them to the frame and added some clear drops. 

I chose a silver cardbase and the card was all done :)

Mr. Dracula | MFT & LF | Lawnscaping Challenge #140

Hi there! Halloween is right around the corner so I decided to make a last card inspired by the color scheme Lawnscaping challenge no. 140.

(In reality it's far more purple than on the photo :-( )

I did a bit of masking for the background because except for the vampire the whole scene has only one layer.

To mask off the ground I diecut one of the 'landscape trio' dies from Mama Elephant and created a diy mask. I did the same process to mask off the moon. For the sky and earth I blended distress inks (earth: ground espresso and black soot; sky: milled lavender, wilted violet, chipped sapphiere and black soot).

The other images I colored in with the Gansai Tambi watercolors. Beside the two colors purple and black I decided to use a blueish grey.

After everything was dry I added some stars with opaque white and adhered the dracula with a small action whobbler to the card to create more interest. 

Last but not least I adhered the whole scene to a silver cardbase (I used silver because I ran out of grey ones and it was the perfect color to create a little bit of contrast but not distract from the actual scene).

Have a smooth birthday | Lawnscaping challenge No. 136

After the clean and soft-colored Christmas card I needed something more messy and colorful. Anyway it's still summer :-)

I created this card for the Lawnscaping challenge No. 136 'use a punny sentiment'.

First I created the watercolor background by white embossing the 'little edibles' from Mama Elephant. I love those tiny images for creating heatembossed backgrounds. Then I used distress inks to lay some colors above it.

I stamped the images from 'so smooth' from Lawn Fawn and colored them in with Copic markers. Then I diecut them and adhered them to the card. I cut out the sentiment so that it does not take away too much space.

A very quick card which I made yesterday in order to be able to participate in the Lawnscaping challenge because I will be on vacation for a few days. I'll be back right after that :-)

Happy Birthday | Lawnscaping Challenge #129

Hi there! I created this birthday card for the 129th lawnscaping challenge which is all about critters.

Due to a very stressful time in the next two months I have to keep my blog entry very short and time-efficient. Therefore, I will only link the main products I used in the supply list. I promise that this will be more detailed starting July again. Thanks for your understanding!!

I used some different stamp sets from Lawn Fawn to create that little critter-selfie using the polaroid die from Mama Elephant. I colored them in with Copic markers and created a background with coordinating distress ink pads (scattered straw, milled lavender, cracked pistachio). I also added white polka dots with Yeti ink, a sponge dauber and a bubbles stencil. Then I stamped the sentiment on top of the polaroid frame and adhered it to the background. Last but not least I added some sequins and two balloons.
