Christmas Card #10 | Mama Elephant

Hello everyone! I can't remember when I ade the last shaker card. I am not such a huge fan of them because they are a bit "bulky" - especially if you mail them. However, the sentiment from the new 'Santa's sleigh' stamp set from Mama Elephant is perfect for this type of interactive cards. So I went ahead and created two at once.

I stamped the santa and reindeer with Memento tuxedo ink and colored them in with Copics. I think these images are just too cute :) Then I diecut the frame from 'fancy door frame' from white cardstock twice. This die is perfect when you don't want to add a ton of images.
Then I created the backgrounds for the shakers with distress inks. For the green/petrol one I used structured embossing powder to create some falling snow flakes. For the yellow/orange one I just sprinkled some water and color droplets.

I cut 2 frames of yellow and green fun foam and added acetate to both of them. I filled them with all kind of different sequins and pearls and adhered them to the background.
For the reindeer card I stamped the sentiment directly onto the background piece. For the santa card I cut a strip of white cardstock, stamped the sentiment onto that and adhered it on top of the acetate.

Since I used colored fun foam you can see the colors through the frame which I really like.
I think the images along with the sentiment are sooo adorable! Just love them ♥

Thank you for stopping by and have an awesome, shaky day!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge No. 37 | Something old, something new

Hello everyone! I am participating in another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. I especially like this one because I love combining new sets with older stuff.

I decided to combine the new sets 'thanks a  latte' and 'pick of the patch' with the older one 'frosty fairy friends'. So I stamped the images with Memento tuxedo black and colored them in with Copic markers.

For the background I used the shifter diamonds stencil from Tim Holtz. The first layer was done with Nuvo glimmer paste in moonstone and the second with hickory smoke distress ink. I had also masked off a bit and blended more hickory smoke distress ink there.

Then I diecut the largest of the 'stitched scalloped rectangle frames' twice from white cardstock and layered them on top of a white cardbase. The background was also cut with this die - so that it fit perfectly into the frame.

I adhered all the images and added the sentiment from the thanks a latte stamp set. Then I added some sparkle with wink of stella clear shimmer brush and gemstones. After some details with a white gel pen the card was finished :)

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Spooky get well wishes | Clearly Besotted

Hello everyone! Since it was released I am a huge fan of the 'good to be bad' stamp set from Clearly Besotted. I love the images in the set and of course I had to compare it with the new 'feeling frightful fillers' set.

For me Clearly Besotted stamps go so well with the Zig clean color real brush markers. I stamped out all the images from the set (also 'feeling frightful') with Archival jet black ink and used a little bit of masking to create a nice sceen. Then I covered everything and used antique linen and pumic stone distress ink for the background. To add more defintion I used the mini stencil set No. 28 from Tim Holtz. I love the look of this!!

To really make a fine background I added the brand new 'tangled webs' from Stampers Anonymous / Tim Holtz with narwhal Lawn Fawn ink. I have to say those webs are amazing! Totally fell in love!

Then I unmasked everything (yeah!) and colored the images with Zig clean color real brush markers. Since I don't send Halloween cards (not so common here in Austria) I wanted to add another sentiment. I used the "hope you feel better" greeting from the feeling frightful set. I think since you have to take mostly disgusting medicine while being sick - this card scene is appropriate :)

Last but not least I scratched the edges of the paper and added some more pumic stone as well as enamel dots.

I am so happy how all the different products go along so perfectly!

Thank you for stopping by and have a healthy day!

Christmas Card #7 | Mama Elephant

Hello everyone! Boy, this was a busy week :) but finally I am at my happy place and share another Christmas card - yes my 7th for 2018 - Yeah!!!

I wanted to use the 'little agenda train' and 'little elf agenda' stamps from Mama Elephant. So I stamped them with Memento tuxedo black and colored all the images with Copic markers. Fortunately I also have the dies for them. So they were ready to use.

By the way: I love that the die cuts the whole window piece from the train - AWESOME!

It wasn't that easy for me to find the right background and background color for the images but I knew I wanted the 'hillside cover' die from Mama Elephant. So I diecut it from white cardstock and covered the 4 sides with tape. I did some distress oxide blending leaving a white frame because of the tape.

Then I adhered all the images to a fun scene and added lots of snow with Nuvo drops.

I did stamp the sentiment on the inside since there was so much going on I didn't want to overload the card front.

On my Instagram account I also posted a short photostory showing the different steps.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
