Magical Day | Lawnscaping Challenge #125

Hi there! It's Lawnscaping time again :) The topic of the 125th challenge is 'color splash' - so a black & white creation with a splash of color. There are so many different ways how to fullfill this challenge and I decided to use the new 'Fairy Friends' stamp set from Lawn Fawn.
I love the little fairies and thought that gold would make a perfect color splash:

So this is a rather simple, nearly one layer, card. I started by stamping the fairy, the wand and the sentiment with Memento tuxedo black and added the beautfiul tendrils (are those tendrils? not quite sure ;) ) and flowers. For the grey tones I used the ink pads hippo from Lawnfawn and soft granite shadow ink from Hero Arts. After that I colored the fairy with yellow and brown copic markers and added little stars around the wand.

For highlighting the fairy and the sentiment I created a little mask with the coordinating dies for the fairy itself and its wand. After masking the two images of I added a "shine" using scattered straw distress ink. I also used the clear wink of stella pen for the fairy and scattered black, metallic silver and gold sequins in 4 mm and 6 mm.

I adhered the magic scene with foam tape to a gold cardbase and my card was done :)

Thank you for stopping by,

xo
