Hi everyone! I managed to create a last-minute entry for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge No. 46 Color inspiration. I love the colors of this challenge so I had to participate no matter what.
It was also a great possibility to finally use the adorable 'let's toast' stamp and die set.
First I created a watercolor background with my Mijello mission gold watercolors. I mixed some reds and purples and also sprinkled gold from the Gansai Tambi Stary Colors palette. After letting it dry I cut it down and sketched my birthday card.
(sorry this is upside down^^)
The images I stamped are from the lets toast stamp set as well as from the 'thanks a latte' and 'pick of the patch' sets. I colored them all in with Copic markers. Then I created the pull mechanism for the sweet toaster. I used all the dies from 'let's toast pull tab add-on' for this fun part (you will see the steps in the photostory below).
For additional interest I diecut the 'quilted backdrop' die from white cardstock, adhered it again on plain white cardstock and then to the background. I added all the other images as well. For the sentiment I heat embossed the "poppin' up to say..." with gold sparkle embossing powder and I stamped the happy birthday from 'reveal wheel sentiment' with cranberry Lawn Fawn ink onto the toast (I should have done that before adhering everything but it fortunately it worked nevertheless).
Last but not least I chose a white cardbase and adhered everything. The toaster, sentiment strip and the whole background are adhered with foam tape, all the other images with liquid glue.
As promised, here is the short photostory:
Thank you for stopping by and have an awesome day!
Hello everyone! Today you can find me on the Stempelwunderwelt blog for a new baby card. I used the sweet Cutieasaurus stamp set from MFT stamps and many more products! Click here to visit the blog post.
Hello everyone! I have another card with the beautiful 'wild meadow' stamp set from Mama Elephant for you. This time I used the border with the flowers and wanted to create a fairytale kind of scene.
So I first stamped images from the wild meadow and 'unicorns and rainbows' with Archival jet black ink and colored them in with Zig clean color real brush markers. I diecut them and also the 'cloudy day cover' from the last Mama Elephant release.
I added some glitter to the images and blended distress inks on the cloudy background with coordinating colors.
Pale pink glitter cardstock made a great backgdrop for the clouds and went well with the other colors. I adhered everything onto the card and added small silver star sequins and also a tiny glitter heart from the 'rainbow high' die set.
I hope you like the card and here is also a short photostory about the process:
