Thank you for always being there | Mama Elephant

Hello everyone! I created this little scene with the new stamp set 'Cub Cuddles' from Mama Elephant which is sooo adorable!!!

I used a sheet of distress watercolor cardstock and the marigold distress ink for the wall of the house. I chose the structured surface of the paper in order to make it more realistic. Then I die cut the window pieces from white cardstock with the 'Window Watching' die from Mama Elephant and cut out a rectangle from the "house" so that you can see through the window. The accessories of the window I colored in with hickory smoke distress ink. I used the curtains as a roof and added a little strip of white cardstock as a base.

Then I stamped the bear image with Memento tuxedo black and colored it in with Copic markers. I also used the little birdie of the set and some images of the older 'Bear Hugs' stamp set which I colored in with Copic markers separately.

I adhered the bear image piece to a cardbase and added the house with foam tape. Then I added the smaller images and the sentiment included in the set. I really love that die set because it is so versatile!

Have a nice day and I'll see you soon.

Thank you fairy much | Lawnscaping challenge #128

Hi everyone! For the 128th Lawnscaping challenge I created my very first card using a sketch:

Because I have never done so I had some difficulties at first but I startet with masking off the areas and the card came together...

After masking of the stripes and the rest of the card (except of the rectlangle) I embossed some images of the 'fairy friends' stamp set from Lawn Fawn.
Then I blended the two distress ink colors milled lavender and tumbled glass, removed the 'frame' and used the rectangle piece to mask of the already colored rectangle. I used the same colors in the opposite order to create the rest of the background. I also sprinkled some water droplets to get this very soft background.

I stamped the little fairies with Memento tuxedo black and colored them in with Copic markers. After die cutting the images I adhered them to the background. For the greeting I used the sentiment included in the set as well as three hearts from the 'loveable legends' set.

Last but not least I trimmed down the scene and die cut the frame from 'Dotted Details' from Mama Elephant three times. I adhered everything to a pale pink cardbase and my card was all finished :)

I definitely prefer creating without sketches but it was fun trying out and maybe it gets 'easier' when using a sketch more often...

Thank you for stopping by and have a beautiful day!!

We are family | Clearly Besotted

Hello everyone. This card is for all families who think they are a little bit crazy and behave in another way than other families (so pretty every one :) ) Being different, having fun and insider-jokes with you family can be so awesome. That's the idea behind the whole scene. I am not quite sure if I was able to capture that intention; however, the images are too cute :)

The card making process wasn't difficult at all. I created a distress background and added the sentiment from 'Got your Back' and stars from the set 'Caped Cuties' with Versamark ink. Then I embossed them with white embossing powder. For the cityskyline I created four layers with the 'Cityscape' die from Clearly Besotted and cut them out from black and dark grey cardstock and from Avery Elle pattern paper. I adhered all the layers and went on with the cute family from 'You Rock Additions'.

I stamped them with Archival jet black ink, colored the images in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and fuzzy cut them. For adhering them to my scene I used littly foam dots.
On the inside of my card I stamped the greeting "let's get together soon" which is from the 'Got your Back' stamp set too.

I hope that some of you understand the idea behind this card ;-)

Thank you for stopping by,

Have a hot birthday | Clearly Besotted

Hello there! Today I have a 'hot' scene to show featuring 'Hot Stuff' from Clearly Besotted. I absolutely adore the little dragons :)

I wanted many different layers for this card in order to make the scene more interesting and realistic. To speed up the process of coloring and creating all the layers I put out some dies and placed them so that I knew which layers I liked. Then I used a full sheet of watercolor paper and blended distress inks for the different terrains. After that I sprinkled some water droplets and die cut all the layers. I also die cut a piece of watercolor paper with the large stitched rectangles from Lawn Fawn as base and sky.

I created the vulcanos with the snowcaped mountains die from Mama Elephant. Although you can tell that they are not 'real' vulcanos because of the peaks I think the die worked out great for this purpose!

Then I stamped the three little dragons, the heart balloon and the 'flame' (in my scene it's only smoke) with Archival jet black ink, colored them in with Zig clean color real brush markers and fuzzy cut all of them. I also added the little palm tree from an older set 'You Rock'. (even the palm tree from Clearly Besotted looks cute)

I adhered the images to the background and added the sentiment which is a combination of hot stuff (from the eponymous set) and have a dyno-mite birthday (from the you rock stamp set). Last but not least I added Wink of Stella shimmer to the balloon and some parts of the dragons and covered the heart balloon with glossy accents.

For the last step I clued the little scene to an equal sized cardbase.

I hope you enjoyed the card and I'll see you soon!
