Dragon in You | Mama Elephant

Hi everyone! I just can't let go of the sweet dragons from the latest Mama Elephant release. Today I combined the 'dragon wishes' stamp set with the older set 'in my heart'.

For the background I used a self made stencil which I diecut with the cloud border from 'landscape trio'. I blended the distress inks wilted violet, milled lavender, cracked pistachio and mermaid lagoon. To finish up the background I diecut the piece of distress watercolor paper with the 'all prettied up' die.

Then I stamped the dragons with the same ink colors directly onto the background and used the distress inks as watercolors to fill the images in.
I sprinkled some water droplets too, being careful not to ruin the images ;-)

After that I stamped the children and colored them in with Copic markers. After fuzzy-cutting and adhering them I added Nuvo jewel drops to "connect" the children with their inner dragons.

The sentiment is also from the dragon wishes sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by and have a magical day!

A magical birthday | Clearly Besotted

Hello everyone! I am stopping quickly by to show you this birthday card for my boyfriend's niece. It was her 6th birthday and who doesn't love Arielle? So I thought that the cute mermaid stamp from "Fairy Tale Mermaid" by Clearly Besotted is just perfect for this occasion.

I only used images from this small stamp set and went a bit out of my comfort zone by using watercolors.

First I stamped the images with antique linen distress ink and then I colored them in with Mijello Mission Gold watercolors.
For the water I used a light blue Zig clean color real brush pen.

After the first wash I added some details with Prismacolor pencils. Last but not least I added the sentiment with peacock Lawn Fawn dye ink and added some Jewel Nuvo drops.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Me and my dragons | Mama Elephant

Hello everyone! I am back with another dragon card ft. Mama Elephant products. I am truly in love with the latest release :)

For the background I created a stencil with a diecut paper using the 'kingdom trio' dies. I blended distress inks (squeezed lemonade, dried marigold and shabby shutters) and sprinkled some water droplets all over the background. Then I used the frame from the 'dotted details' set so that it looks more interesting.

Then I stamped the images with Memento tuxedo black ink and colored them in with Copic markers. The images and the sentiment are from the sets 'me and my dragon' and 'dragon wishes'.

After adhering all to a white cardbase the encouragement card was finished.

Thank you for stopping by and have a nice day!

A Dragon in You | Mama Elephant

Hello everyone! I have so many ideas for the cute new Mama Elephant dragon stamp sets. Here is my first card using them:

I created a watercolored background with Mijello Mission Gold watercolors. Then I diecut a circle with the 'basic circles' dies from Mama Elephant.

I also diecut the same circle from a piece of watercolor paper. Then I used the new 'kingdom trio' dies and created the background city. For this I blended grey distress inks and used the circle die again. I stacked them and adhered the layers onto the first circle.

Then I added fun foam to the back of the background paper (before I have also diecut the circle) and adhered it to a dark grey cardstock.

The images from 'me and my dragon' are colored in with Copics. The sentiment is from 'dragon wishes'. I only used three sequins just to add more interest and my card was finished.

Thank you for stopping by and have an awesome week!
