Unicorn light up card | Mama Elephant

Hello everyone! Thank you for joining me! I made a break from making Christmas cards and created this light up unicorn card :)

I started with the distress ink background using the MFT cloud and mini cloud stencils. I chose pastel colors (scattered straw, dried marigold, milled lavender, spun sugar).
With the rainbow from 'rainbow high' I diecut paper which I colored in with distress inks.

I also diecut some clouds from glitter paper. The images from 'unicorns and rainbow' are colored in with Copics.

After adhering everything to the background I pierced a small whole behind the candle of the cake and started with the ligth effect.

I chose a pale pink glitter cardbase and adhered a small paper piece behind the future cake. Behind the candle I started adhering the copper tape. One for the plus and one for the minus side of the battery/light. After bringing all into place I used 3 layers of foam tape to adhere the unicorn/rainbow scene to the cardbase.

I hope you like the design and have  a wonderful day!

Christmas Card No. 8 | Mama Elephant

Hi everyone! I am back with my 8th Christmas card design :) Again I used Mama Elephant stamps and dies.

First I created the background scene. I used patterned paper for the wall and diecut the 'window watching' die from Mama Elephant out of it. I also used the same die for the frame (cardstock which I colored in with my ink blending tool and walnut stain distress ink) and the sky (cardstock which I colored in with my ink blending tool and tumbled glass/salty ocean distress ink).

I blended some more walnut stain distress ink on a craft card base as my floor. Then I glued the pieces together and started with the images.
I used the three stamp sets: 'a beary Christmas', 'merry mantle' and 'pix's happy holiday'. After stamping them with Memento tuxedo black I colored them in with Copic markers.

I adhered them to the scene and added some highlights with the wink of Stella brush pen. For the sentiments I used German Christmas greetings.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Christmas Card No. 7 | MFT & Altenew

Hello everyone! I am back with Christmas card design number 7!!! I don't have many stamps from Altenew but I had to get 'bells and bows' for my Christmas cards. I think it is such a clever set and perfect for backgrounds etc.

So I stamped some bells in blue inks onto a square piece of paper. (moonstone, fish tank and deep sea from Lawn Fawn) and diecut the large circle from the 'columbus circle' set from Mama Elephant.

Then I stamped another bell in grey inks (manatee, hippo and storm cloud from Lawn Fawn) and diecut it. I also made a cute little Yeti from 'beast friends' from My favorite things and colored it in with copics.

After adhering the background piece to a metallic blue square cardbase I used foam tape to glue the Yeti and it's bell onto the card as well. The little sentiment is from the 'merry everything' set from My favorite things.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Christmas Card No. 6 | Mama Elephant

Hi there! The Christmas Card post No. 5 is ready :) Today I used the sweet stamps from 'A cookie Christmas' from Mama Elephant. I colored them in with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies.

Then I created a cloudy background with MFT stencils and distress inks. I also used the landscape trio dies for the snow. I decided to use a German sentiment for this one.

I made two cards at once using different card bases: a green one and a metallic brown one.
I just love the sweet gingerbread men :)

Thank you for stopping by and have an awesome day!
